Neighborhood’s Vision statement I think says it all;
“SHARING OUR LORD, OUR LOVE, OUR LIVES.” For nearly 60 years
Neighborhood has been providing care for the military and international
community on the island of Okinawa. We want Neighborhood to be your home
while on the island. Home is where God wants you to be, so for many,
this is home, a place where people like you can gather together and
worship God freely, grow by His grace and experience His love every day.
In our Neighborhood there is a church family waiting to love you and
encourage you as you seek after God. We’re not just a church, we are
“Family.”
To help the “family” feel at home we offer everything you
might find in a church in the states. Great worship, lively music,
classes to help each family grow in the Lord, special groups for our
youth, Royal Rangers for our boys, Missionettes for our girls and many
ministries to meet just about every need a person might have.
You will find something for every member of the family
from our Ladies of Neighborhood, to our Band of Brothers, Men’s
Ministry, Secret Keepers for girls and Moms, to PALS (Prayer and Loving
Support) caring for the families of our deployed soldiers. You will find
everything you need to feel at home here on the island.
We translate all of our services and special meetings
into Japanese and also have a Japanese ministry with Bible Studies and
special meetings in the Japanese language.
Nursery care is always provided for all of our regular
and special meetings so why not decide to be a part of the most loving
Neighborhood on the island. Neighborhood can be your home away from home
right now.
