Japanese Ministry
Here at the Neighborhood we are blessed to share
the riches of Christ with many Japanese speaking people. Although
Neighborhood is predominantly military, our Japanese congregation, about
thirty people, hears the Word of God in their own tongue through
headphones provided at each service.
We offer many different opportunities of ministry
for our native speakers. We have a Japanese Sunday School prior to
Sunday service (0930-1020), a Japanese children’s church beginning at
1030, a Tuesday morning Japanese Bible study held at 1030, and Japanese
prayer breakfasts and worship/prayer services.
We enjoy the privilege of welcoming many Japanese
visitors to the Neighborhood and are delighted to see the power of God’s
love flowing in and through the Japanese congregation. Jesus said to
‘Go’ and make disciples of all nations. Our vision is to experience
continued growth in God’s love and faith as we embark on God’s great
commission given to His disciples.
With about 1.3 million people on this Island we
recognize that the opportunity for a ripe harvest is growing into
greater fruition everyday. We are delighted to be a part of God’s great
commission; ministering to the saints of God, and preparing them to
reach out to the multitudes that still have yet to hear about the
wonderful riches found in Christ Jesus (Iesu Kirisuto).
